A note on free trials and freemium

Some popular products use free trials (Spotify gives you 30 days free). Some use freemium (Notion gives you most things for free, locks advanced features behind a paywall).

These models work at scale. They do NOT work for first products from young builders, for one reason: free trials and freemium tiers need enough volume that the conversion from free to paid produces meaningful revenue. At your scale (probably 10 to 50 first customers in v1), free trials just mean nobody pays.

For your first product, pick a price and charge it from day one. You can experiment with free trials in Module 11 if you want. Not now.
