How to spot a fake idea
Time: 20 to 25 minutes Module: 1, Coach Reya
You did Lesson 2. You watched. You took notes. You probably feel pretty good about one of the candidates.
Read this lesson before you fall in love with it.
Most candidate ideas that feel exciting after a week of watching are fake. Not because you're stupid. Because fake ideas wear a specific costume that makes them feel real. They have a person's name, a workaround, a "moment." They look like they passed Lesson 1's tests.
But they fail a different test, and you only notice the failure four weeks later, after you've built the wrong thing.
Four fakes. Each has a tell. Once you know the tells, you catch the fake in 30 seconds.
Read this lesson with your candidate idea in your head. Run it through each filter as you go. By the end, you'll know if your candidate is the real thing, or a costume.
