Pricing as positioning

Mateo, 13, Bogotá, the Discord bot kid from Module 1. When he finished v1, he sat on the floor of his bedroom and typed $0 into the Stripe pricing field.

His older cousin walked past and said, "are you sure?"

Mateo wasn't sure. He erased it. He typed $5. He erased it. He typed $1. He erased it. He sat there for forty minutes.

Eventually he typed $2 per month and hit save. He told his friend Sam, the moderator he'd built the bot for, "it's $2 a month, do you want it?" Sam said yes immediately. Mateo's hands were shaking on the keyboard.

Six months later, 47 servers were paying $2/month. That's $94/month, recurring, going into Mateo's bank account while he's in school.
