What your product doesn't do

Time: 15 to 20 minutes Module: 2, Coach Lin

By week six, half the kids in this program have a product that does fourteen things badly.

It started clean in week one. By week three, a friend said "you should add a leaderboard." By week four, their cousin said "what if it also had AI feedback?" By week five, they saw a competitor on Twitter announcing a feature and thought "we need that." By week six the product is a stitched quilt nobody can describe in one breath, including the builder.

This lesson is the vaccine. You commit, in writing, to three things the product does NOT do. Then when the temptation hits in week six (and it will hit), you check the list. If the feature is on it, you say no. Calmly. Out loud. The list does the work so your tired brain doesn't have to.

If you skip this lesson, week six eats you.
